Winter Sweater in the Catskills

On a recent wintery weekend an amazing friend arranged a much needed weekend winter getaway into the Catskill Mountains a few weekends ago at Foxfire Mountain House. This spot is a fairly new rustic inn tucked away in the Catskill area. The house we stayed in was decorated with so many details that I could've moved right in and left the city behind for a bit. This spot was the perfect quiet escape for a few days. We spent the weekend at the ski resort close by and then returned back to the house to cook dinners and enjoy the fire with our friends. How I miss having a real wood burning fireplace! Definitely check it out, they also host small outdoor weddings in the spring and summer. During our stay the main inn was hosting a bridal photography event. I can see why! So many places for shooting phenomenal photos, indoor and out. We had to take advantage of it all. Pleated Skirt in the South of France

During my first ever trip to Nice, France I was first humbled by the strength the coastal city showcased just days following the devastating event that unfolded. This was my first time exploring the southern part of the country and I instantly loved the city of Nice and it's beautiful blue waters. We spent a short few days here wandering the market, trying some new restaurants, and enjoying the long coast of beach to cool down after spending the day in the heat. I was grateful to been able to explore it's beauty and pray for those taken too soon. There were the most beautiful sunsets at night and it was the perfect temperature for a beach walk before dinner.

Though this is more of a summer look, I'm adding more options for similar styles to transition this look into fall. My top could be easily paired with a suede jacket or scarf. See some wonderful options linked below.

Nautical Stripes in Cinque Terre, Italy

I'm recapping our visit to Cinque Terre, Italy from this summer. This was my second visit to this special place along the northern coast. In Italian the Cinque Terre or "five lands" are connected by a series of trails which make for a day or two hike with varying degrees of difficulty. The entire route there are breathtaking views of mountains, water, trees, and the colorful buildings. There's also the option of boating between them.

We stayed in my favorite town, Vernazza and had some wonderful dinners in the mountains overlooking the Meditteranean. The fresh sea food will keep you wanting to come back for more! There's nothing that compares to this unique travel spot, rich with history and plenty of beach for taking a swim or cliff jump. Although it's highly tourist attracted in summer months, I remember it more calm in the fall which makes for much milder hiking between the towns without the crowds. I definitely recommend it for a visit, it's a romantic and adventurous spot to experience.

We didn't hold back enjoying the panoramic view from the top of the castella which made the perfect back drop for photos. Though my shorts are unavailable, I'm linking some similar sale styles as we close out the summer.
