Travel Essentials

For as much as I have traveled I still am mastering the art of packing light with versatile items. (I'm notorious for over packing, which can also make it difficult to choose outfits once on the trip if there's too many options.) I'm working toward using the "less is more" approach, well trying at least! For vacation travel I started with some simple items that can be worn on a traveling day and throughout the trip in different ways . It's always tricky going from cooler to warm climates so I find layers are best for chilly airports.

I'll be styling some of the basics below in upcoming posts as I get ready to jet set to Vegas! This is a super spontaneous trip and I can't wait to get out of the New York cold and slow my pace for some sunshine.  I've never been to Las Vegas, any suggestions for restaurants, shows, or activities will be much appreciated if you could comment below!

Blushing Blonde

I have been searching for a longer coat that can be easily layered without looking too bulky and this one is it! For the great price point ($33 yes please!) it's the perfect soft coat to transition into spring with for cooler days while still feeling warm in the end of winter.  I must admit I'm not a huge fan of the dark buttons, but it's nothing that a little sewing and creativity can't fix to make it more original! I love lighter pinks with my fair skin, especially in the winter and this blush tone coat is a good find and good quality for the price.

Happy February!

February is officially here and it's the month of pinks and reds (well at least that's how I think of it) as we approach Valentine's Day. Now we are a month closer to spring and the days are finally starting to become longer. I've been getting a lot of wear out of this bubblegum pink sweater from Asos. It has unique side slits with a warm knit. Stay tuned for some upcoming Valentine's Day looks on the blog this coming month.
