Cozy Layers Look

Recently the Free People location near me had a major 50% sample and sample preview sale. I had wandered in to exchange this bralette to white and came across some great styles they had in stock. They also were having an in store special on this bralette I also have and love that's a halter style. They are $20! I love this top too because the sleeves are longer than usual, fitted , and the shirts length overall is longer. It could probably be paired with leggings if sized up. I couldn't locate my exact top on the website, but it's a thin rib and similar bottom as the thermal style linked above. I love how soft and stretchy it is!  The curved neckline is great for layering under with a bralette or even in the v neck style.  My cardigan is on sale and so I’m sharing some similar looks I also love that could go also.  I have this style and love it's long length and this color is very soft if you like a neutral.

I loved having a three day weekend and always feel so much more productive and well rested when I can take a day to get organized ! Can't they all be like that?! This week ahead looks busy and continuously cold so comfy layers it is for the continuation of January!

Pom Pom Flats

One of my favorite brand shoes are on major sale right now and I just couldn’t resist the Pom Pom on top!  (cue the eye roll from my husband ) I always love shoes with a little something extra and these are a perfect neutral to slip on at work or during a commute. I was surprised how much I’ve worn them but I don’t have any grey flats  and these are so so comfy. I always go for Sam Edelman brand because they’ve gotten so much better with a comfy support insole lately and always fit true to size and wear well for my size.

The grey are sold out but there’s still two other colors in stock with most sizes on the website. I’m tempted to snag the mauve ones while they’re reduced this much !  I have some sweaters they’d go with.

$37 can’t be beat and if you refer a friend you get an extra 10 % off right now. They fit true to size and I have narrow foot so there’s no sagging on the sides.  I know this Pom Pom fad will go out as soon as Easter bunny hoppity hops in this spring but for now , this grey is perfect! I’ve actually paired them with white denim which I LOVE and an oversized pastel tunic sweater.

Winter Coat & Boot Roundup

Happy New Year everyone! 2017 was one of the best years for me in a while, I was married in August and celebrated throughout the year leading up to the big day with generous and thoughtful friends and family. Surrounded by love all year through and holding onto that into 2018. I can't wait to see what it has in store for us as newly weds both personally and professionally!

Now that we're back into the swing of refreshing ourselves for the new year and past the holidays I thought I'd share some amazing winter wear items as we continue to brave the coldest months of winter. Many of the pieces I've used year after year and they last! I love the longer length of a winter coat to combat the wind and cover my legs, since I freeze easily ( I swear I was not built for living in cold places!) My coat has gotten me through my third season in New York and just taking care of it with routine cleanings help.  It's down so here and there I shed some feathers so next year may be time for a replacement. I always search the end of season sales for something I can keep in my closet for the next winter as an investment.
